MegaSquirt®MegaShift™ Transmission Stim

Digi-Key have recently changed the security and operation of their ordering system (April 2009), and these automated ordering pages no longer work to auto-fill the components, reference numbers and quantities. We are in contact with Digi-Key to sort this out, however there is no guarantee this will be resolved successfully. If it is not, we will have to look at alternate suppliers who do provide such a service. In the meantime, you will have to enter the components manually, unfortunately. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the beta MegaShift™ trans stim component parts ordering form for Digi-Key. It will allow you to assemble the beta MegaShift™ trans stim with just a printed circuit board (PCB). Note that some additional parts will be required, as noted near the bottom of the form.

Quantities are as required for default MegaShift™ beta stim build build.

Note: Normally you will order a complete kit from a distributor, this BOM is provided for reference only.

To order complete the following steps:

  1. Verify that you have the quantities you want for each item below.

  2. Then send your order to Digi-Key:

    You will be redirected to Digi-Key to confirm your order items and quantities. (Go to Ordering Homepage and "CREATE NEW ORDER" if you want to start over with an order after you have submitted it.)

  3. Finalize your order by clicking on the 'finish order' button on the Digi-Key site. Verify your order, payment method, and shipping details. The order will not be complete until you have finished this step.

Here are the other parts you'll need to build your trans stim:
  • 3 pushbutton normally open switches (507PB-ND or similar) - one each for upshift and downshift functions, plus one to activate the brake sense circuit,
  • an alligator clip (CP-2407-ND or similar) is handy to connect the VSS input (Amp2) to the MegaSquirt® V2.1 stim's R9 resistor (the end furthest from the DB37 connector) to supply a vehicle speed signal.
